Managing Windows apps

This section describes the different functions available when uploading and managing Windows apps. KACE Cloud allows you to manage a wide range of Windows app file types. There are two flows that you need to follow when you add new apps to the KACE Cloud Library:

• Uploading IPA and APK files:
  • Upload IPA or APK app to the Apps Library
• Uploading EXE, MSI, and ZIP files
  • Windows MSI apps: Important information about the product GUID
  • Windows MSI apps: Edit App Details
  • EXE, ZIP, MSI, DMG, and PKG apps: Gathering app details
  • Upload EXE, MSI, ZIP, DMG, or PKG app to the Apps Library
  • Windows EXE or ZIP apps: Edit App Details

Adding Windows apps to managed devices and their removal is pretty straight-forward. You can add apps to devices either directly or through policies. Similarly, removing apps from devices involves simply selecting an app on the device and deleting them.
